JEETutorAI ("we", "us", "our") operates the JEETutorAI learning platform available at www.jeetutorai.com (the "Service"). We help students preparing for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, and Olympiad examinations with AI-generated practice questions, personalised study plans, and progress analytics. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

• To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
• To personalise your practice, adapt difficulty, and generate revision plans.
• To process subscription payments and issue receipts.
• To send transactional email (password reset, receipt, streak reminders you opt in to).
• To improve the Service (aggregate analytics only — never combined with your identity for advertising).
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your Google user data or content for advertising purposes.

JEETutorAI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We only request the minimum scopes needed to sign you in (openid, email, profile).
• If you connect your Google Drive to import study material, we access only the folders you explicitly share and only to fetch content you asked us to ingest.
• We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
• We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless (a) we have your explicit consent, (b) it is necessary for security, or (c) we are required by law.
• We do not transfer your Google user data to third parties except as needed to provide or improve the Service, comply with law, or as part of a merger with prior notice.

When you use Ask JEETutor AI or generate practice questions, your prompt is sent to our AI providers (currently Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), and OpenAI) through the Emergent LLM gateway. We do not attach your name or email to those prompts. Providers process the prompt to return a response; they do not use it to train their base models under the API agreements we operate under.

• Databases are hosted on managed MongoDB clusters with encryption at rest.
• All traffic between your browser and our servers is protected by TLS 1.2+.
• Passwords are hashed with bcrypt — never stored in plaintext.
• We retain account and learning data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently erase personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax/legal reasons (typically invoice metadata for 7 years under Indian law).

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (India), the GDPR (if you're in the EU/UK), and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data (edit your profile in-app, or email us).
• Delete your account and personal data — go to Profile → Delete Account or email hello@jeetutorai.com.
• Export your learning data as JSON.
• Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., disconnect Google Sign-In).
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India or your local regulator.

Many of our users are school students preparing for entrance exams. If you are under 18 years old, you may use JEETutorAI only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, in accordance with the DPDP Act. We do not knowingly market to children under 13. If a parent becomes aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data without consent, please email hello@jeetutorai.com and we will delete it.

We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (theme, chosen exam, streak state). We use no third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies through your browser at any time.

Our servers are located in India and the United States. If you access the Service from outside those regions, you consent to the transfer of your data to India / the US for processing.

If we make a material change we will email registered users and post a notice on the Service at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
